Doesn't this website make me seem like the most self-obsessed person ever?  I think it's funny.
The purpose of this site is to keep a collection of reminders for myself:  steps I used to do stuff, links to useful pages, etc.  It's mostly going to pertain very specifically to me and whatever setup I've got going on.  If you get something out of it too, that's great, but don't expect any generalized information.  It's purely a tool for myself ---- an online infocentre designed specifically pour moi, consisting mainly of modifications of tutorials found elsewhere on the web along with whatever else is going on with me at the moment.

365 Days of Saint JJJENNNNN  2008 12 13
J
The One Object 365 Days Project on Flickr is a group pool in which participants select a single object to take a photo of in various surroundings each and every single day for an entire year.  I can't help but be flattered that my friend BuBBy chose for his object that little statue he owns that looks so much like yours truly with a halo that it's scary!  You gotta check this out!  It's like a 365-day celebration the equivalent to Jentoberfest x 12!

PodCamp  2008 10 21
J
This past weekend, I was fortunate enough to attend my 2nd podcamp of 2008.  I went to PodCamp NYC 2.0 back in April, which was a ton of fun and where I met some of the coolest people I know; thus, a trip to PA for PodCamp Pittsburgh 3 was a no-brainer.
There, I took in sessions on blogging, grassroots podcasting, making it on one's own, photography, social media in the arts, and success in general.  Highlights included:  participating in a massive 6/49 shot, meeting up with great friends, and making some new ones as well ---- not only at the event, but on the plane ride before I even got there too (BIG shout out to my new friend Scott-Wo from the PHL--->PIT flight who is more the focus of the photo on pg. 47 of the Oct. 20 /08 issue of Newsweek than Sarah Palin is - as seen wearing the Lehigh sweater in 3rd pic down, over there to the right)!

Comic-con was #@*%ING AWESOME! 2008 07 30
J
Well, I'm back from San Diego and I gotta say, I had an amazing time!
Comic-con was nuts.  It was like nerd heaven.  Keel, who offered her guest room up for me to crash in and acted as tour guide throughout my trip, was an excellent hostess.  Ended up doing the Con Thurs/Fri, caught a live taping of the Totally Rad Show (which aired yesterday), hit up Tijuana (scary), and enjoyed some beers at the Stone Brewery in Escondido.  Sorta sucks that it's all over, but I think a revisit next year may be in order.

OMG, I'm in a Comic! 2008 07 11
J
I was asked by my good friend Peter Allen (baked pajamas) to do the spoken part for the intro of the Tiki Avengers theme song.  Tiki Avengers is a web comic he writes and choreographs based on the Tiki Bar TV podcast.  Well-thought-out, original storylines make it an imaginative fan tribute.  I'm truly honoured he asked me to do this.  I think it turned out really well!

TuxMobil Page 2008 07 20
J
I've been meaning to do one of these for awhile.  Here is the TuxMobil page I submitted for configuring Kubuntu 6.10 (Edgy Eft) for a Lenovo ThinkPad T60 model 8744-5BU.  That's right; I swing KDE.  Deal with it.
